Youth High Point Program

Encouraging young riders to develop their skills, build confidence, and celebrate their achievements in the show ring.

Relaunching 2026

Inspiring the Next Generation

The MAHA Youth High Point Program is designed to recognize and reward young exhibitors for their dedication, skill, and sportsmanship throughout the show season. By tracking points across all MAHA-sanctioned shows, we celebrate consistent participation and achievement.

Relaunching in 2026, the program offers awards in three age divisions and more than 10 categories, ensuring that every young rider has the opportunity to be recognized for their hard work and accomplishments.

Whether a youth is competing for the first time or is a seasoned exhibitor, the Youth High Point Program provides motivation, encouragement, and a sense of community that helps develop the next generation of Arabian horse enthusiasts.

Age Divisions

Competition is organized into three age divisions so youth compete against their peers.

10 & Under

Junior Division

Young Riders

Our youngest exhibitors get their start in the ring with age-appropriate classes and supportive judging. This division focuses on building confidence, developing basic horsemanship skills, and fostering a lifelong love of Arabian horses.

11-14

Intermediate Division

Growing Competitors

Intermediate riders develop their skills and take on more challenging classes. This division bridges the gap between beginner and advanced competition, helping young riders build confidence and technical ability.

15-18

Senior Division

Future Champions

Senior youth exhibitors compete at the highest level of youth competition. Many riders in this division go on to compete at Regional and National championships, carrying forward the skills and sportsmanship they developed through the program.

Process

How It Works

Four simple steps to participate in the Youth High Point Program.

1

Enter Shows

Participate in any MAHA-sanctioned show throughout the season. Both our Spring Fling and Fall Classic shows count toward your high point standings.

2

Earn Points

Points are awarded based on your placement in each class. First place earns 10 points, with points awarded down to participation.

3

Accumulate All Season

Your points accumulate across all MAHA shows throughout the entire season. The more shows you attend, the more opportunities to earn points.

4

Win Awards

At the end of the season, high point awards are presented in each age division across 10+ award categories at our year-end awards celebration.
